Inpatient Medicine Clinical Nurse Specialist
This Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for:
- Provides expert consultation for patient/populations with complex health care needs, evaluating the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes evidence based practice
- Integrating knowledge, research findings, and experience to support the incorporation of evidence-based practice into excellent bedside nursing care.
- Initiates clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice and facilitates nursing research.
- Advances nursing practice by participation in professional organizations, publications and dissemination.
- Coordinates care and transitions in collaboration with the patient/population and inter-professional team members.
- Facilitates resolution of ethical conflicts in complex patient care situations.
- Supports an accountable nursing care environment that stimulates continuous self-learning, reflective practice and invites peer feedback to improve nursing practice.
- Demonstrates advanced interpersonal and communication skills, employs conflict management and negotiation skills to support a healthy work environment.
- Providing care to infants, children, and young adults with both acute and chronic diseases in medicine and behavioral health. Common populations include complex care, gastroenterology, pulmonary, endocrine, and behavioral health.
- Working primarily Monday-Friday day shift with some schedule flexibility needed to meet off-shift practice and educational needs of staff.
- Master's degree in Nursing and Current National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) granted by a Board recognized certifying organization
- APN certification and licensure in MA
- A minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient pediatric nursing experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous CNS experience preferred.
